Last week the plumber installed all of the new fixtures in the office expansion. In the “practice what we preach” department for sustainable design, we the restrooms received automatic faucets in the sinks, high efficiency urinals, and dual-flush toilets. The lights are controlled by occupancy sensors to prevent them from being left on when not in use. Restroom partitions will be installed next week. Floor covering has not been selected yet, but will likely be a commercial grade vinyl.

The Lunch Room is 75% complete. Flooring will be selected and installed after the first of the year. Tables will be built and chairs will be bought early next year, if not sooner. The electricians made provisions for three drum-shade pendant fixtures, but those have moved down the priority list. The refrigerator will arrive in a couple weeks.
